Appropriate disciplinary action (up to and including dismissal) will be taken against any employee who is found to have discriminated against another person).

Dignity at Work Statement of Policy

It is the policy of Combined Office Interiors to provide a working environment where all employees are treated with dignity and respect and free from unwanted harassment, intimidation or victimization on the grounds of sex, colour, marital status, race, nationality or ethnic or nation origin, age, religion, sexual orientation, disability or any other personal characteristic.

Harassment can take many forms and may involve in appropriate actions, behaviors, comments, physical contact or verbal abuse that is objectionable, any conduct which may be acceptable or tolerable to one employee but will cause offence or humiliation to another employee would be considered harassment. Likewise, conduct that creates an intimidating, hostile or humiliating work environment of ran employee would be considered as harassment.

The harassment or intimidation of an employee is regards as wholly unacceptable and a breach of discipline.

Any employee who experiences harassment and wishes to report it (even if informally) should contact their manager (if appropriate), a Director or the Human Resources Manager immediately. Wherever possible, we will endeavor to resolve complaints quickly and as sympathetically as possible. Where required, counseling and support will be made available.

Any investigations will be carried out only with the agreement of the employee. At all times, during and after the investigation, we will take reasonable steps to prevent further harassment. If investigations indicate that harassment may have taken place, the case will be dealt with under the company’s disciplinary policy.

If the complainant believes the problem has not been resolved satisfactorily, he or she may refer to the grievance procedure.

Combined Office Interiors expects and encourages all its employees to comply with the above policy statements.
