Bright & inspiring breakout furniture refurbishment for sixth form in Scotland:
Hutchesons Grammar School is a co-educational independent school for pupils aged 3-18 in Glasgow, Scotland. The idea that each student should be allowed to flourish and reach their full potential is truly inspirational, and this ethos undoubtedly creates an environment where everyone is encouraged to reach their full potential.
Here at Combined Office Interiors, we recently partnered with ESPO and the grammar school to create an inspiring environment for sixth-form students. The brief was to provide a space for pupils to relax, study, and socialise away from their lessons and with this purpose in mind the focus was to enhance their wellbeing with a bright and stimulating atmosphere.
To fulfil the requirements of the sixth form, we provided modular breakout seating finished in a luxurious faux leather vinyl fabric, giving it a luxurious look, and providing maximum protection particularly against heavy use. To compliment the seating further, a variety of cube-shaped stools, armchairs, and low tables were added giving sixth formers somewhere to relax in style.
By providing a flexible modular seating area, we have helped create a versatile and modern sixth form that is conducive to collaboration and learning. The range can also be easily adjusted to different configurations depending on the needs of the space. Not only does this have the benefit of creating an attractive atmosphere for students, but there is also evidence to suggest it can help to raise morale and create a more positive mindset.
Consequently, the result is an area that Sixth Formers can take pride in and make their own.

Modular Seating – Piano Range, Summit Furniture
Built for comfort and durability, with solid Beech wood frames and sprung seats with the flexibility of also adding linking and power module options. Each unit has extra strong steel legs finished in Chrome.
Upholstery: Camira Vita Clash, and Camira Vita Marina faux leather vinyl (we used two different colour fabrics on each modular piece of furniture to provide a contrasting look).
Upholstered Armchairs – Albany Range, Boss Furniture
Stylish and comfortable armchairs with fixed CMHR foam seats and back, with soft button details, and Oak legs.
Upholstery: Camira Vita Flamingo and Camira Vita Marina, with co-ordinating buttons (we used two different colour fabrics on each chair to provide a contrasting look).
Upholstered Cubes – SitU Range, MDK Office Seating
Fun soft seating cubes with Chrome feet. Overall height 470mm & overall height & depth 410mm. Upholstery: Camira Patina Pink, Marina, Clash & Flamingo

Rectangular and circular-shaped coffee tables finished with White MFC tops.
