Community Library – Children’s Area and Storagewall Refurbishment
Transformation of children’s library zone with new Storagewall solution
We have collaborated with the Buckinghamshire library team for many years, including the refurbishments previously of Aylesbury and Marlow libraries. So, we were delighted to continue our successful collaboration with them once again to create a defined children’s area at Burnham Community Library in Slough.
The library is generally a busy and well-loved community space, providing a much-needed haven for learning, studying, reading, socialising, and community events.
Combined Office Interiors (COI) was tasked with specifically designing a captivating and interactive space that would help ignite the imagination of children from all age groups. This specifically included creating a new storagewall area that would seamlessly integrate the library’s theme and aesthetics.
Our team provided a thorough site survey as well as creating comprehensive design plans, giving the library an immersive preview of the exciting new children’s zone.
Working closely with our manufacturing partners, we created a bright and welcoming space that features modular library storage units, display units, and a striking arch entrance.
Additionally, the new children’s library storage shelving was installed in good time to celebrate the library’s historic 50th anniversary.
Children’s Area and Storagewall Refurbishment – Summary
Burnham Community Library’s is not just a place to read, but a place to grow and discover – and we’re honoured to have been involved in designing and supplying a defined children’s area within the large open-plan library space.
