Cutting-edge hybrid furniture refurbishment to create new ways of working:
Following the successful award of a mini-competition tender under the ESPO Framework 282 contract, we were thrilled to have been selected as project managers for an exciting office furniture refurbishment project for the Children’s and Families Services at Leicestershire County Council.
At the local authority building, innovation and efficiency are highly valued. Our brief was to introduce innovative ways of working that will support the council’s operations and make their workspaces more efficient.
We were able to provide a number of ‘Smart Working Solutions’ that would make it easier for the team to be productive and efficient. From long and collaborative meetings to individual workspace configurations, our furniture is designed to maximise comfort and flexibility.
Among the adaptable innovative furniture provided to Leicestershire County Council, we provided the cutting-edge Cwtch 6-seater work booth from Orangebox. This sleek design provides a cosy, enclosed workspace for up to 6 people, allowing for focused collaboration and productivity. The Cwtch booth combines acoustic panels and soft seating, creating a warm and inviting environment that provides a break from the hustle and bustle of the open-plan office. Workspace booths are perfect for meetings or a quiet spot for independent work.
We also supplied a large oval collaboration table with a 25mm MFC top, square edges, and aluminium legs finished in a White melamine top and Black metal frame. Collaboration tables are a versatile option and will be used for anything from team meetings to brainstorming sessions.
To compliment the table, we provided comfortable work chairs with a stool base, seat back, and castors for mobility. The Ramsey stool from Orangebox offers a refined level of comfort and support. It has a small tub chair design with the mobility of a traditional light meeting chair.
Additional furniture supplied included:
- Cwtch – 4-seater work booth.
- Upholstered round stools on castors.
- Laptop tables.
- Circular meeting tables with tubular bases.
As part of our fully project-managed service we provided onsite consultations and conducted comprehensive risk assessments and method statements to ensure that everything runs smoothly from start to finish. And we didn’t stop there, we also provided a complete delivery and installation service following a detailed schedule to keep everything on track.
We believe that the key to a successful workplace is creating an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and comfort, and we are confident that our furniture has achieved just that for Leicestershire County Council.
