Innovative educational furniture refurbishment for brand-new all-through school in West Sussex:
Here at Combined Office Interiors, we have enjoyed a successful, long-standing business partnership with Wates Construction for many years now, and together, we have created stunning learning environments and have earned an enviable reputation for competitive prices, flexible solutions, and an excellent level of customer service.
Following a successful tender award, we were thrilled to be working once again in partnership with the renowned and respected Wates Group, and Bohunt Educational Trust to refurbish the brand-new, purpose-built, two-storey school in Horsham, West Sussex which included a separate nursery, primary & secondary buildings, classrooms, staff areas, offices, library, and dining halls.
The concept behind this project was to craft an engaging, inspiring, and transformational learning environment that gave students specifically the best opportunity possible to receive an excellent education.
We initially supplied educational furniture to a temporary building whilst work commenced on the new build, we then worked with Wates project managers and the school to provide a phased delivery and installation programme over a 24-month period, which would see the school officially complete in early spring of 2022.
The building is beautifully designed with large open-plan spaces including atriums and a focal-point library area, situated in a large glass structure above the reception area. As an all-through library, the space is being used by both the primary and secondary schools, designed to be used not only to read books but as a social hub for students to enjoy.
Summary
We are incredibly proud to have been part of this educational furniture project. The new school not only looks amazing and provides a great learning atmosphere for students, but it is also enriching the lives of many generations to come.
