As educational furniture specialists with expertise in providing refurbishments, COI was delighted to partner with Wates Construction who were appointed to deliver the new build construction of Grove Academy by the DfE as part of the Priority Schools Building Programme that is seeing school facilities across the UK rebuilt or refurbished. Grove Academy in Chalvey, Slough is one of a handful of all-through schools in the country offering education from the age of 4 to 18.
COI successfully completed an invitation to tender for the refurbishment of the impressive new build which boasts four storeys of high-quality educational facilities. The brief included the requirement to utilise space, whilst ensuring we created a flexible, comfortable, and welcoming learning environment with a ‘wow’ factor to inspire students and staff.
With decades of experience in classroom designs, we believe a teaching environment should encourage and inspire learning, with flexible designs and furniture that can be easily adapted to suit teaching requirements.
As part of our full project management service, we refurbished the reception area, administration offices, classrooms, science rooms, hall furnishings, meeting rooms, and dining halls.
All furniture was delivered in a phased programme to ensure the academy was ready for its official opening.
