The state-of-the-art, three-storey Blue-Light Hub in Milton Keynes is detailed as a ‘one of the kind’ where the campus brings together the county’s Fire, Ambulance, and Police services.
The core goal of the project was to ensure the design and fit-out provided a dynamic and engaging workspace, that incorporated cultural values and collaborative workspaces. We met this brief by providing detailed space planning, workplace consultations, and interior design advice. The schedule comprised of a complete project managed refurbishment to the reception area, training rooms, boardroom, call centre, offices, breakout area, and cloakrooms.
The reception area, being the main focal point of the new hub for staff and visitors was transformed with a bespoke welcome desk and a range of bright and inviting soft seating. Agile areas for activity-based working included hot desks and collaboration tables. Training areas and flexible breakout zones showcase a versatile furniture selection that allows spaces to be reconfigured to meet the different needs of teams and projects in the shared building.
Careful consideration was given in choosing the furniture, and in the selection of fabrics and finishes to complement the impressive new build. A phased refurbishment of the new building was achieved as and when areas became available to ensure services were always maintained and operational.
