Innovative educational furniture supply for new classroom block in Bedfordshire
Working closely with Central Bedfordshire Council (who had recommended us to the school) and the School Business Manager at Derwent Primary School, our team supplied a variety of loose educational furniture to fully furnish the new classroom block which consisted of classrooms, offices, and staff areas at the existing school site.
We wanted to ensure that all furniture we sourced for the school specifically met the high standards of quality and durability required. To do so, we attended site meetings with the school business manager and the Central Bedfordshire project team. From these meetings, we gained an understanding of their needs and priorities so that our product sourcing could be reliably tailored, specifically to the school. As a result, our team was able to combine our knowledge and expertise to create an impressive classroom block using well-thought-out designs and plans.
Educational furniture was supplied to various teaching and learning spaces including:
- SEND Multi Agency Space
- 8 Classrooms, including early years and music room
- Food Science / DT Rooms
- Corridor Storage
- Head, SEN, and Reception Offices
- Staffroom
Following delays with construction work, we were faced with a revised delivery schedule for the educational furniture. This meant that the items had to be stored until the necessary building works had been completed and the furniture could be delivered promptly. Although this caused some disruption to our timeline, we managed to find an appropriate storage solution for the furniture to fulfil the school’s new phased delivery schedule.
Summary
Our successful partnership resulted in a high-quality environment that not just matched but exceeded expectations of Derwent Primary School. Additionally, the new modern teaching and learning space is perfectly suited for providing students with a unique and engaging place to learn.
Testimonial
“Richard was great in helping and supporting us with our new furniture requirements for our brand new two-storey teaching block and EYFS extension. This also included guidance with our room plans and giving us a vision on how we can get the best out of the spaces we had. We appreciate Richard and the team going above and beyond in order to ensure our classrooms were all ready to go in September and January!”
