Inspirational educational furniture refurbishment including custom-made TeacherWall and storage facilities.
Combined Office Interiors has partnered with West Sussex Council on a number of projects, providing office and educational furniture solutions to Local Authority departments and educational establishments throughout the region. One of the most recent projects included the supply and installation of bespoke made to measure furniture at Oathall Community College in Haywards Heath, which accommodates around 1400 students between the ages of 11 and 16 years old.
The prestigious school building was built in 1938, and as part of the latest refurbishment programme, we updated 10 of the college’s teaching and learning spaces within the new Maths and Science faculty, with custom-made Teacherwall solutions (also known as media walls). The unique modular storage wall solution with integrated whiteboard/smartboard and/or a flat-screen TV’s were all designed to fit and compliment the architecture of the room with flexible storage solutions including cupboards, tray units, shelving, pigeon holes, and a presenter’s laptop table. Every unit was configured to meet the technology needs of the college with lockable secure
doors to ensure an efficient and tidy classroom and finished in an MFC beech wood finish.
In addition to the smart storage systems, we also refurbished a brand new IT suite with bespoke bench desks that incorporated cable management solutions.
