As awarded members on the ESPO 282 Framework, Combined Office Interiors (COI) were delighted to partner with West Midlands Police for the phased refurbishment of office furniture to multiple police stations and custody suites across the metropolitan counties of central England.
COI was responsible for ensuring all the furniture specified met the needs of the police force, whilst providing detailed lead times and schedules to deliver the project starting in August and continuing through to December 2021 with 8 scheduled installations.
As the industry recovers from the ongoing effects of Brexit and the Covid pandemic, we experienced unprecedented supply and delivery challenges which were all constructively overcome through meticulous hands-on project management and effective communication.
The Solution
Desking
Rectangular workstation desks with cable management trays finished in Stone Oak and Silver frames. Complimented with CPU holders and desktop power and data modules, designed to sit on top of the desk surface to ensure easy access and straightforward connectivity for every user.
Seating
Ergonomic task chairs were designed specifically for West Midlands Police to provide petite, regular, and larger users with essential posture support.
This range named the ‘New Way of Working’ is custom-made with Ergo-density foam, an extended back-rest (beyond the seat), lumbar support, flexible
adjustment mechanisms, and upholstered in Camira Xtreme Havana fabric.
Storage
Stylish black metal storage units in various heights, alongside bespoke metal lockers designed and manufactured to specified dimensions to allow secure storage of equipment and belongings.
Meeting Tables & Chairs
Versatile round meeting room tables with tulip style bases, partnered with contemporary, retro-designed square tub-style chairs upholstered in Camira Xtreme Osumi fabric with steel, four-leg tubular style legs with a chromium-plated finish.
