Modern office furniture refurbishment for regulator offices in Canary Wharf, London.
Following a bid to tender and a formal interview with both the client and the interior designer May Fawzy, Combined Office Interiors were thrilled to be involved in the refurbishment of office furniture throughout the Office of Rail and Road (ORR), new headquarters in Canary Wharf.
ORR is the safety and economic regulator of the rail industry and Highways England’s monitor, they work with the central and devolved administrations, infrastructure companies, safety bodies and other companies in the transport industry whilst also ensuring the rail industry is competitive and fair.
With their building lease coming to an end in Holborn, ORR sourced new cost-effective offices in Carnary Wharf. Our brief was to plan the empty floor, and provide a modern and vibrant workspace that met the practical and operational needs of ORR’s business.
During the initial concept and development stages, we organised an office furniture showroom tour to view a spectrum of furniture ranges which helped ORR make a well-informed purchasing decision.
With a focus on creating shared workspaces, we provided durable, value for money furniture from a multitude of manufacturers and designers including Boss Design, Frovi, Brunner Group, Frem Group, Orangebox, Elite Office Furniture, and Silverline to create an attractive and innovative environment with flexible breakout zones and focused collaborative workspaces.

Our team organised a phased delivery and installation programme which allowed the ORR team to successfully continue with the day to day running of their business throughout the entire office move process.
We’re delighted with the end result, the fresh new workspace has incorporated intelligent design, combined with the use of creative accent colours to showcase ORR’s values to both staff and visitors, providing a platform for ongoing growth and development.
