Transformative change: Educational furniture refurbishment at coeducational school in Warwick
At COI, we believe that creating comfortable and efficient spaces plays a vital role in enhancing educational environments. That’s why we were thrilled to have been chosen as project managers for the refurbishment programme at Myton School’s site, situated in the charming town of Warwick.
Myton School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form that embodies the values of inclusivity and community and offers students the opportunity to excel in their academic journey.
By streamlining the purchasing through the ESPO 282 framework, we were able to bring a whole new level of efficiency to our space design and furniture procurement process. We were able to create spaces that were both functional and aesthetically pleasing, with furniture options that were tailored to the school’s needs. However, it wasn’t just about creating a space that looked good, but one that maximised value for the school and its students.
As part of our comprehensive project-managed service, we undertook a wide-ranging refurbishment of educational furniture across several key areas. From the welcoming entrance to the bustling dining room, every space was considered and refurbished to ensure maximum functionality and comfort. We paid particular attention to the library and SEND base, as well as the SENCO and Pastoral base, providing spaces where students could feel supported and safe.
In addition, we revamped the ICT room to make it more conducive to modern teaching methods, and the stimulating social science base was given a refresh to help spark students’ imaginations. The school administration was not forgotten either – the heads’, admin, and deputy heads offices all received a refresh to help them better serve the needs of the school community. Lastly, we made sure to refresh the staff workroom, giving educators a beautiful space to work, collaborate and socialise.
Summary
We know that education is key to the future of our society, and we’re proud to be able to contribute to the success of Myton School by creating spaces that will help foster positive learning experiences.
