Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the necessity to keep staff working in an appropriate social distanced manner, the team at COI undertook workplace surveys of all West Midlands Police sites to produce a tailored screen solution that could be fixed to the surface of any desk. The screens provided additional protection by having a bespoke over-hang to create a separating barrier between employees who work side by side (goal post style frame).
When the Government ended the first COVID-19 lockdown and provided national guidelines for a safe return to the workplace acrylic and Perspex screens were in high demand. With a constricted supply chain and a worldwide plastic shortage, our solution was to provide safe and durable glass screens as a sustainable resolution to safeguarding the team at West Midlands Police.
Whilst providing essential protection, glass screens also allow visibility and permit users to see each other, whilst letting light pass through the workspace.
In addition to the effective workstation screens, we also created safe one-way walkways using full height modular screens.
All protection screens were delivered and installed by our own team who adhered to social distance and government guidance to ensure the safety of our clients and our own team.
