Combined Office Interiors (COI) first achieved CHAS certification five years ago, back in 2017. Each year since we enter the renewal process to certify our commitment to achieving high levels of safety and welfare. This includes all of our projects within our company including risk management.
Our commitment to continued compliance is essential for providing a safe and secure workplace for our team. With a commitment to compliance, our team can come to work knowing they are in a safe environment, where they can focus on working efficiently, proactively and productively.
CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) is an independent authority and trusted advisor on health & safety compliance for contractors and consultants that apply to work in public and private sector organisations. The accreditation scheme is renewed each year with attention to regulations and guidance. CHAS is designed to achieve compliance in all areas of risk management using a single assessment body.
SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) is an important part of creating a safe and secure working environment. It involves the development of industry-leading umbrella memberships for assessment schemes, such as CHAS, that ensure assessments are conducted according to safety requirements. This helps to eliminate the need for repeated assessments and create a single, efficient vetting protocol. Furthermore, these schemes are officially approved and recognised by the government’s Health and Safety Executive, meaning they carry significant authority.
Our rigorous procedures and commitment to high levels of standards are evidently embedded into every COI project. By following safe working procedures, alongside effective communication, we strive to deliver continuous improvement. Whilst maintaining our provision to provide high-quality training to our team, and to continually monitor and review our project performance.
